Rob Gardner is the Vice President of Congressional and Regulatory Affairs at SEMA and is concurrently a Vice President at Mission Strategies. Rob has been working on tax and trade policy related to the solar industry for over 12 years. He has worked with and represented some of the world's largest manufacturers and works closely with Congress and federal agencies in formulating and advancing public policy.
Before joining Mission, Rob was a Vice President at Boundary Stone Partners, leading client engagement with major solar, battery and critical mineral manufacturers to achieve policy outcomes in implementation of the IRA and IIJA and major trade actions. Rob previously served as a Policy Advisor at Baker Donelson where he advised advanced battery, CPG manufacturers and climate tech companies during the formulation of the IRA, IIJA, and CHIPS Act.
Rob served on the legislative staff of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for seven years where he covered tax, trade, sanctions, and certain appropriations issues. During this time, he led negotiations and helped pass multiple bipartisan pieces of tax, sanctions and trade legislation.
Rob holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Denison University.
